“For us, the starting point remains the strengthening of regional and global peace, as well as open dialogue based on equality, mutual respect, and consideration of national interests,” President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili stated while speaking at the Ambassadors’ Conference – 2025.

According to him, Georgia will never renounce its sovereignty or its choice to be an independent, democratic, and peaceful state.

“At the same time, the most important priorities of our foreign policy remain the de-occupation of Georgia’s two historical regions and the policy of non-recognition. At the same time, we reaffirm our commitment to the approach according to which there is no alternative to the peaceful resolution of the conflict.

Today, we firmly defend our national interests. Our message is unequivocal: Georgia will never renounce its sovereignty or its choice to be an independent, democratic, and peaceful state. This is our historical responsibility and the foundation of the existence of our state,” the president emphasized.

As Mikheil Kavelashvili underlined, it is up to Georgian diplomats to ensure that the country’s identity, its centuries-old traditions, and its values are protected and properly represented on the international stage.
