“We have agreed that the Technical University will no longer be merged with Tbilisi State University,” Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at a briefing.
According to him, only technical specializations will remain at the Technical University, while other, non-technical disciplines will be gradually phased out.
Prior to the briefing, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the rector of the Georgian Technical University as well as with members of the academic staff.
