U.S. President Donald Trump vowed to NATO allies in Europe that Russia would not attack any NATO member states as long as he remains in office, The Washington Post (WP) reports.
"According to three officials, during the main session, Trump spoke positively about defense spending and vowed that Russia would never attack NATO while he is president," the publication states.
The Washington Post also notes that other NATO leaders praised the U.S. president’s efforts to increase Europe’s defense spending and supported his strikes on Iran.
