Dinamo Tbilisi has introduced a new head coach — a former well-known footballer who worked in Cyprus for many years.
“Thank you for your trust. I have been given the opportunity to work with the team where I played for a long time, and now, after many years, I have returned here as a coach. Dinamo is the number one team in Georgia, and we must do what befits this club.
Dinamo has always been and will always be the leading club — every child dreams of joining it, and the team has all the resources to be the best, but that takes time. There are many young players here. The team needs experience, players who will help the youngsters achieve big goals and succeed in European competitions. Unfortunately, no Georgian team has yet managed to reach the group stage. I hope the time will come when Dinamo will fight for that.
This is my team, I grew up here, and I will do everything as a coach to restore Dinamo’s former glory. What am I going to change? We want to improve the situation. We need reinforcement with experienced players. We have full support from the president to become stronger. It is unfortunate that Dinamo plays in one of the most beautiful stadiums while the stands are empty — that benefits no one.
We need players who can immediately get into the game. We will do everything to bring in players who will help the team and contribute to the development of young players. Every player will join with my approval. I want players I know well who will help Dinamo,” said Temur Ketsbaia.
