The Government of Georgia is following with deep concern the ongoing military actions in the Middle East, which threaten the security and well-being of all countries in the region without exception.
We extend our condolences to the Iranian people and to the Islamic Republic of Iran, where the continuing hostilities have claimed the lives of a large number of people, including the supreme leader, other political leaders, many innocent civilians, and dozens of children.
We also express our condolences to our friendly Jewish people and to Israel over the deaths of civilians as a result of the military actions.
The Government of Georgia expresses full solidarity with the Gulf Arab countries, with which Georgia is connected by a special partnership.
We hope that peace will be restored in the Middle East in the near future, and that military actions will be replaced by diplomacy and political dialogue.
The Government of Georgia will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Georgian citizens in the region and to protect their interests.
