Officers of the Rustavi City Division of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, detained T.Sh., born in 1984, previously convicted and currently under a suspended sentence, on charges of illegal acquisition, possession, and facilitation of the distribution of a narcotic substance in especially large quantities.
The crime is punishable by up to 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
During a personal search of the detainee, as well as from locations indicated by T.Sh., law enforcement officers seized 23 packages of the narcotic substance “Alpha-PVP” as evidence.
The investigation is ongoing under Part 3 of Article 260 and subparagraph “a” of Part 6 of Article 260^1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
