The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, has arrived in Azerbaijan on his first official visit.
According to the Georgian Presidential Administration, a welcoming ceremony was held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Mikheil Kavelashvili was welcomed at the airport by Azerbaijan's First Deputy Prime Minister, Yagub Eyyubov.
As part of the visit, the President of Georgia will meet with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. High-level talks — both one-on-one and in an expanded format — are planned with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and the Speaker of the Milli Majlis.
