“Eighteen years have passed since the August War, yet even today we all remember, including emotionally, those extremely difficult days, and it is our duty to honor the memory of the heroes who died in the August War,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

As the head of government noted, the patriotism of the heroes of the August War serves as an example to follow.

“Eighteen years have passed since the August War, yet even today we all remember, including emotionally, those extremely difficult days, and it is our duty to honor the memory of the heroes who died in the August War. Their example should serve as a guide for future generations; their patriotism is exemplary, and, of course, we have a duty to these heroes to do everything possible to restore Georgia’s territorial integrity through peaceful means and fulfill their dream,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
