Law enforcement officers of Georgia have detained Badri Esebua, who is accused of robbing the Bank of Georgia.

The criminal was detained at dawn, when Esebua was trying to cross to the temporarily occupied territory.

Other details of the special operation are still unknown.

Recall that on October 21, 2020, the criminal took 43 people hostage in the branch of the Bank of Georgia, located in the center of Zugdidi. After several hours of negotiations, the head of the regional police entered the building and replaced the other hostages. At the same time, Esebua's demand was fulfilled and he was given half a million dollars.

The attacker left the area in a car accompanied by 3 hostages and has been hiding until now.
