A man under the age of 35 was arrested in Akhalkalaki on charges of forced marriage.
As the Newshub.ge news agency was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a criminal case was initiated under Article 150 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which concerns forced marriage (including unregistered marriage).
The crime is punishable by community service for a term of two to four hundred hours or imprisonment for a term of up to two years.
