Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy, announced the launch of a new resort development in Racha, Georgia, starting with the selection of Mravaldzali. This initiative, prompted by the Prime Minister of Georgia, aims to boost tourist traffic, generate employment, and enhance the economic landscape of the region.

Speaking to reporters in Mravaldzali, Kvrivishvili outlined the strategic vision for the project. "Following the Prime Minister's directive, we undertook extensive studies and explored numerous potential sites. Moodzali emerged as a particularly promising location. The government, in collaboration with the private sector, plans to develop a multifunctional, four-season resort here," she explained.

The development process will engage top international firms from the outset to ensure the resort's concept and design align with global standards. "Our collaboration with investors is aimed at accelerating infrastructure development. This project is not just a development; it’s a significant boost for Racha’s economy," Kvrivishvili added.

The project will also consider additional areas like Skhartali, Betlevi, and Shkhivana for further resort development, potentially creating major new hubs for the tourism sector in Georgia. "These efforts will not only increase tourist arrivals but also provide new employment opportunities, thereby strengthening Racha’s economic standing. We are committed to creating resorts that serve as year-round destinations, meeting the expectations of both local and international visitors," said Kvrivishvili.

Each proposed resort will be designed as a four-season destination, ensuring they cater to a wide range of activities and tourist preferences throughout the year.
