On the Monday of Bright Week, the Orthodox Church observes the Day of Commemoration of the Departed.
Today, believers visit the graves of family members and loved ones to proclaim to them the Resurrection of the Lord. According to tradition, Easter cakes and dyed eggs—symbols of the Easter holiday—are brought to the cemetery.
Citizens will be able to travel to the cemeteries free of charge. The Tbilisi City Hall has introduced nine temporary bus routes.
