Gina Lollobrigida, famous Italian actress and sex symbol of the post-war era, has died at the age of 95.


 

Known as the sex symbol of the Mediterranean, Lollobrigida was a prime example of Italy's post-World War II renaissance.

Lollobrigida starred in films with such famous Hollywood actors as Rock Hudson, Burke Lancaster, Frank Sinatra.

After her film career ended, Lollobrigida, affectionately known as "La Lolo", became a photographer and sculptor. She was also involved in political activities and was a member of the Italian Parliament.
