Georgian actor, director and athlete Soso Jachvliani died at the age of 66.
The actor has been battling a serious illness for the past few years and was undergoing treatment in a clinic.
Soso Jachvliani was born in 1958. He was the director of the Shota Rustaveli Theater University, winner of awards at international film festivals, chairman of the supervisory board of the Georgia Film studio, president of the Georgian Armwrestling Federation, world and European armwrestling champion.
Jachvliani starred in famous Georgian films: “The Tree of Wishes”, “Maita Nasosi”, “Svan” and “My First Love”.
