Chocolab, a company that entered the market in 2018, has started producing chocolate in the shape of the map of Georgia.

The founder, Mariam Edilashvili-Tkemaladze, stated that the aim of this new product is to promote the country to tourists. The idea of creating chocolate in the shape of the map of Georgia had been in the works for a long time, and it has been on sale for two weeks. Mariam Edilashvili-Tkemaladze acknowledged that there has been criticism of the product from some people who find it inappropriate to turn the map of Georgia into food, but the aim is to raise awareness of the country.

Alongside the map-shaped chocolate, Chocolab produces a variety of sweets using high-quality raw materials such as Belgian and Italian chocolate, Georgian nuts, and dried fruits. Their product range includes themed tiles, children's figures, mendiants, truffles, bonbons, and lollipops. The company mainly sells its products through online platforms, but also supplies chocolate to some tourist shops, with plans to expand the retail area. The price of the sweets starts from 3 GEL, and the cost increases depending on the contents, weight, and packaging.

Chocolab was founded five years ago with the owner's investment, but production was suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company currently employs four people, but additional staff are mobilized as needed.
