The UEFA President thanked the Prime Minister of Georgia for the successful hosting of the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.

In a letter to Irakli Garibashvili, Aleksander Čeferin writes that the vision of the Georgians and the care shown by them determined the huge success of the event, which created a pleasant and memorable atmosphere for all the participants of the championship.

“Georgian hospitality, beautiful cities, good sports infrastructure and impressive playing style of your national team. At three matches, a record was set for stadium attendance, the best result we saw only in the U21 finals. As a result of all this, this championship will go down in history as the tournament with the highest attendance,” says Aleksander Čeferin in a letter to the Prime Minister of Georgia.
