The "Wounded Warriors Support Foundation" consistently collaborates with a range of international organizations, sharing experiences and methods to aid wounded military personnel and veterans.
This year, the foundation secured a grant from the international charity organization "Invictus Games Foundation." This grant facilitated the acquisition of ten basketball wheelchairs for the wounded warriors' team. Operating under the Ministry of Defense, the team has participated in various "Invictus Games" tournaments since 2014. In September, in Dusseldorf, they will showcase their preparation and dignity at the "Invictus Warrior Games."
Established in 2018 by Silknet, the Foundation remains steadfast in its mission. Silknet contributes an annual donation of 300,000 GEL, while also continually attracting additional donors to support injured soldiers. The Foundation's funding sources include a mix of Georgian and foreign companies, private individuals, and state budget allocations. The overarching aim of the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation is to expand its reach, uniting businesses, society, and government efforts to provide comprehensive support to wounded veterans and military personnel.
