According to the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, traffic with trailers and semi-trailers has been restored on the Gudauri – Kobi section of the international highway Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Lars.
According to the National Environmental Agency, traffic on the Gudauri – Kobi and Stepantsminda – Lars sections will proceed in a continuous flow mode. On the Gudauri – Kobi section, traffic is allowed through the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th avalanche protection tunnels, while traffic on the bypass road around the 1st and 4th avalanche protection tunnels remains free.
Traffic with trailers, semi-trailers, as well as M3 category vehicles designed for passenger transportation with more than 22 seats (excluding the driver's seat), will be allowed to pass through the tunnels in a one-way direction, according to the information from the Department of Roads of Georgia.
