The death toll from the natural disaster in Shovi has risen to 19. Temur Mghebrishvili, head of the emergency department, told reporters that the body of the 19th victim was found today.
“The woman's body was found in the riverbed. A fragment of a human body was also found. All this happened as a result of active search and rescue operations, and at this stage, additional work is being carried out in specific places to further expand the search and rescue area," Temur Mghebrishvili said.
According to him, the woman's body will be taken to the morgue, her identity will be established later.
According to the head of the Emergency Management Service, search operations are currently underway in 10 locations.
