Employees of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, on charges of illegal purchase and possession of narcotic drugs, as well as facilitating their illegal sale, detained A.S. (born in 1991), previously convicted G.O. (born in 2005), and a foreign citizen A.G. (born in 1998). The arrests were carried out at different times in Tbilisi and Batumi.
“As a result of personal searches of the detainees, searches of their homes and vehicles, as well as from various locations, law enforcement officers seized especially large quantities of narcotic substances as evidence, including ‘methadone’, ‘alpha-PVP’, and ‘dried marijuana’.
Police also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotic substances.
The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260 and 260-prima of the Criminal Code, which предусматривает punishment of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment,” the agency stated.
