25-year-old grandson ordered the murder of his grandmother for $ 150,000 - the accused was detained in Tbilisi

As a result of operational-search activities and investigative actions, employees of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Main Department of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, A.S., born in 1997, was arrested in Tbilisi. on charges of plotting a contract killing.

The investigation established that the accused ordered the murder of his own grandmother - V.S. To do this, he had to pay $150,000 to a hired hitman.  
A.S. told the killer the name of the victim, age, address of the grandmother, and sent her photo through an Internet application. The accused gave a certain amount of money in advance for the preparation of the crime, and promised to pay the remaining amount after the execution of the order.
An investigation is underway on the fact of preparing the intentional murder of a family member under paragraphs “l” and “n” of Article 18-109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
The prosecutor's office charged the detainee with preparing a contract killing of a family member. Based on the petition of the prosecutor's office, the accused was sentenced to imprisonment as a measure of restraint.
The crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
