Georgia has secured € 55.6 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the renovation of Tbilisi Metro stations. The Tbilisi Transport Company will undertake the reconstruction work.

The loan agreement was signed by Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and EBRD First Vice President Mark Bowman during his trip to the Caucasus.

This is not the first time Mark Bowman and Matteo Patrone, EBRD's Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus have visited Georgia, they were in the country in September 2022. This time, their focus is on upcoming projects in both public and private sectors.
