President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Georgian singer Nino Katamadze the Order of Princess Olga. The corresponding decree was published on the website of the Ukrainian leader.
“For her significant personal contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation, supporting state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and popularizing the Ukrainian state in the world, Ms. Nino Katamadze was awarded the Order of Princess Olga. Congratulations on your high award! Thank you for your support and we wish you good health, happiness, inspiration and new achievements!” the Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia said in a message on Facebook.
Georgian jazz star Nino Katamadze actively opposes Russian aggression in Ukraine. After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, Katamadze founded a fund to help Ukrainian refugees. The performer often holds charity concerts and travels to Kyiv.
