Coca-Cola has filed a lawsuit in a Russian court against the “Coca-Cola” registered in the so-called South Ossetia.
According to Meduza, the case was submitted to the Moscow Arbitration Court.
As reported by Kommersant, in March 2025 the Coca-Cola trademark was registered in the so-called South Ossetia, and under this brand, the export of the drink to Russia began. Production was carried out by the Novosibirsk-based company “PKV,” which also produces the Loca lemonade.
After Russia launched its full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the American Coca-Cola left the Russian market but retained its trademarks.
It is not yet known on what specific grounds the American company filed its lawsuit against the South Ossetian Coca-Cola.
