The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) and The Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex Regulation under the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyz Republic. The agreement was formalized by Giorgi Pangani, Commissioner of GNERC and Timur Orozaliev, Head of Regulation Department.
The aim of Memorandum is to develop a direct dialogue on bilateral and regional energy market regulatory issues, ensure an efficient exchange of information in case of emergencies or extraordinary circumstances that have an impact on the regional energy market, promote an appropriate regulatory framework by organizing mutual aid to ensure development of a fair, transparent and non-discriminatory market environment.
In frame of Memorandum the Parties will expand the bilateral cooperation in directions of electricity, natural gas, thermal energy, licensing and control activities, information technologies.
